Last month Tourist surprised us with a euphoric new single called “Your Love“. The first single taken from his anticipated new album “Inside Out“, out next month. Luckily, the electronic producer is now sharing another glimpse of the album with the great song “Avalanche“.
New single “Avalanche” is once again a stunning piece of electronic music created by Tourist. Offering some real emotions in the 5-minute track while still maintaining a glimpse of hope and euphoria. The track features an acapella snippet of Ellie Goulding build into a great UK Garage kind of track. About the new single Tourist says: “I started writing Avalanche on the Isle of Skye whilst on a trip with my wife. Initially – it was a very glacial ambient piece, just synth arpeggios and pads. I was looking out over the sea whilst working on it, it was a deeply moving place to write music. I found an acapella of Ellie Goulding’s on my laptop and I heard this phrase which sounded like ‘Hold Me’, I loved how haunting that was. My instinct on previous albums might have been to leave it ethereal, but with this record – I wanted to push it to a more dance floor place. In the end it became quite a cinematic piece of UK Garage. Also, who doesn’t love an out of context dulcimer. I played it to Ellie and she loved it, thankfully.”.
We can’t wait to hear what else Tourist has in store for us! Luckily, “Inside Out” arrives less than one month from now!
“Avalanche” is out now on all platforms. “Inside Out” is out May 20th via Monday Records.
