Purity Ring released their first brilliant new album in five years, WOMB, earlier this year. Today the duo is back with an unexpected cover of Alice Deejay’s “Better Off Alone“.
Purity Ring bring the dance-classic into their own dark and dreamy soundscape and it fits perfectly. We can never seem to get enough of this anthem and we’re glad Purity Ring is brining it back to live after all these years and actually doing the track justice.
About the track Purity Ring says: “We have wanted to cover this song for years and it felt like it was time,” the band wrote in a statement. “It’s been an influence on how we write and feel music since the beginning, and so for all the ways that joy and longing move, the truth is out there.”
“Better Off Alone” is out now on all platforms and comes with a fun accompanying music video. Check it out below.
