Let us introduce you to Mother Tongues, the indie pop duo hailing from Toronto, Canada. Comprised of Lukas Cheung and Charise Aragoza, the duo met almost a decade ago at a DIY show and have remained friends ever since. They are currently getting ready to release their debut album ‘Love In A Vicious Way’ and just shared its lead single ‘A Heart Beating’.
Mother Tongues new single ‘A Heart Beating’ is truly a gem that showcases the band’s perfect blend of indie pop and rock. The song is dripping in nostalgia and brings us straight back to the 90s. It’s a dreamy and infectious song with a chorus that surely will soon be stuck in your head. The new single also comes with some colourful visuals that fit the song perfectly. We are excited to have stumbled upon this talented duo and can’t wait to hear what they share next!
About the single they said:
“‘A Heart Beating’ speaks to how we can find ourselves lost in the feedback loop of regrets and longing. The chorus repeats like some hypnotic spell calling you back into your body.”
‘A Heart Beating’ is out now on all platforms. ‘Love In A Vicious Way‘ arrives July 21st via Wavy Haze Records.
