Daniela Gitto aka Aunty Social unveiled last Friday her brand new EP called “It Looks Friendly“. The new collection of songs includes her previous singles “Unsmiling“, “Aunty Depressants” and “Hide Away” and follows her 2020 debut “The Day My Brain Broke“. Together with the arrival of the new EP, Aunty Socials also shares some pretty cool visuals for “Sensory Overload“.
While being completely fresh to our ears, the 24-year old Toronto bedroom artist immediately put us under her spell watching the visuals and hearing “Sensory Overload”. Despite having some serious lyrics and quite a sinister video, the music for “Sensory Overload” is utterly dreamy and quite up-lifting. We would best describe the sound as some of Grimes earlier work and we are loving it! This is probably our favourite track of Aunty Social released so far and we can’t wait to see what comes next. Be sure to give the splendid visuals directed by Nikita Nevaulin a watch and check out the full EP below.
