Augustine is back and with one hell of a funky-breezy tune! The Swedish singer-songwriter and producer has just dropped his latest single, ‘Mary Cookins’, and it’s a delicious slice of indie-pop heaven. The track is the first taste of his forthcoming second album, which is the follow-up to 2021’s brilliant debut ‘Weeks Above the Earth’.

‘Mary Cookins’ is a playful, upbeat number that feels like the perfect soundtrack to a lazy spring day. Augustine’s signature soulful falsetto is on full display, gliding over groovy ’70s melodies and funky synths. The retro-inspired guitar is a particular highlight, adding a touch of disco to the mix. ‘Mary Cookins’ seems to take Augustine in a slightly new direction and we are loving it. He once again delivers a catchy, danceable tune that’s impossible to resist.

About the new single he says:

“This was the first song that came to me in this album process and we had so much fun making it in a little cabin in the south of Sweden. Everything just fell into place and I felt like it marked a new beginning after a break from the studio.” Augustine says.
