Marius Lauber aka Roosevelt returns with a brand new single ‘Ordinary Love’, it’s the electronic producer’s first release since signing with new label Counter Records / Ninja Tune. The new single also marks Roosevelt’s first new release since 2021’s ‘Polydans’.
It comes as no surprise that Roosevelt delivers once again a infectious electronic banger that doesn’t dissapoint. He really never missed and every single track has this warm and dreamy sound to it that we can’t get enough of. ‘Ordinary Love’ is a blissful and euphoric track that will be a perfect soundtrack for the upcoming summer. About the new single he says:
‘Ordinary Love’ was written in LA last summer in an isolated cabin in Elysian Heights. I worked on a demo that I initially called ‘Wall Of Sound’, putting a ton of synth layers together – I wanted to create some kind of urgency, that resembles the euphoria of a new love, with all its bliss, but also the uncertainty that comes with it. The idea of the sound of the sirens, that are played on a vintage Prophet 5, came when I wanted to create an underlying feeling of instability. It worked out as a great contrast to the melodic chords, as there’s always a slight disharmony going on throughout the track.”
We are keeping our fingers crossed for more new Roosevelt music this year!
‘Ordinary Love‘ is out now on all platforms via Counter Records.
