Let us introduce you to Copenhagen duo Alpas Ave, consisting of Marianne Ernst Dam and Martin Pilgaard Grishauge. The duo know for their dark and atmospheric productions, returns with a new single ‘Orange Calcite’. The first single taken from their upcoming debut album ‘The Woman In Ashes’.
New single ‘Orange Calcite’ showcases the band’s unique ability to fuse pop with haunting and electronic soundscapes. Marianne’s ethereal and emotive vocals glide over an ever-changing production that’s both ominous and captivating. ‘Orange Calcite’ is mysterious, yet full of energy. It reminds us of some of our favorite Scandi acts out there, like KÅRP and Kate Boy, with hints of Niki and the Dove’s earlier work woven throughout. If this is any indication of what ‘The Woman In Ashes’ will deliver, we’re in for a treat!
About the new track they mentioned on Instagram:
“It feels like a new era has begun. Nothing less… We got lost in this big universe of ours, and stayed there for a while, but now we’re ready to let you in!
We’re truly excited about this one – and what’s coming. It feels new and fresh. Scary and vulnerable. Exciting and good! And we’re certain that you’ll catch us – right?”
‘Orange Calcite‘ is out now on all platforms.
