Los Angeles three-piece ill peach are back with ‘CRASH COURSE DUMMY‘, the latest single ahead of their sophomore album ‘EAVESDROPPING‘, out June 26 on Handwritten Records.
Following on from ‘SMALL TALK‘, ‘CULT DADDY‘ and ‘MOLLY’S NOT A FRIEND‘, this is another smash and the album is definitely shaping up to be one of my favourites released this year. The world really needs to wake up and start listening to this amazing band.
‘CRASH COURSE DUMMY‘ is about that person in a social setting who tries so hard to fit in that the desperation becomes almost uncomfortable to watch and ill peach really nail that feeling with their signature unfiltered energy.
Speaking about the track, the band shares:
“The lyric ‘you only love me with my head in a wall’ is really about those social dynamics where it feels like people only notice you once you’re self-destructing for their approval. Over time, I’ve found confidence in being quieter. Being present. Not forcing myself into rooms or relationships that don’t fit. If someone doesn’t gravitate toward me, that’s okay. Maybe it’s their loss.”
‘CRASH COURSE DUMMY‘ is out now. ‘EAVESDROPPING‘ drops June 26.
