mikey are an exciting new duo from Denmark, made up of Maiken Kock Rask and Henrik Koefod Petersen. Their latest single, ‘wash away’, is the second from their upcoming EP ‘first notes‘, following ‘somewhere I belong’, and it shows the dark, atmospheric alternative pop mood they’ve been building.

The new single drifts between airy guitars, subtle beats, and reverb-soaked vocals. It’s moody, immersive, and exactly the kind of sound that makes me want to keep pressing play. I’ve already had a listen to the EP, and it sounds great — if this is any indication, mikey are definitely a duo to keep an eye on!
