British singer-songwriters and musicians Abbie Ozard & Pixey join forces on their infectious new single ‘miss american dream’. The song’s lifted from Abbie’s upcoming debut album ‘everything still worries me out’, which arrives July 25th via House Anxiety. The previous singles ‘anything for you‘, ‘days like these’ and ‘i don’t know happiness without you’ will also appear on the eagerly anticipated album.
Both women are rising and talented independant artists creating brilliant alternative pop music so we’re extremely happy to see them collaborating on ‘miss american dream’. The song is an anthem for all women out there and their achievements with powerful lyrics and super infectious melodies. We’re loving the sound of this one and can’t wait to hear more of both talented musicians. Watch the video directed by Charlotte Rudd below.
About the new single Abbie Ozard mentions:
“I’ve always looked up to girls and women my whole my life,” Ozard said in a press release. “Constantly in awe of how we do things, how strong we are as individuals and how powerful the energy can be when they’re in a room together. This track is not only a celebration of girlhood but a celebration of romance and friendship between women, something I’ve always wished to write about. Being in the room with Lizzie (Pixey) gave me the confidence to do this.”
Pixey adds:
“I loved working with Abbie on this track. It started from a session where I was supposed to be just producing, but loved the track so much I knew I wanted to feature on it too. Abbie then texted me and asked if I’d like to write the second verse so it came together perfectly.”
‘miss american dream‘ is out now on all platforms via House Anxiety.
