Josh McIntyre aka Prince Josh, whom you might know as one half of Prince Innocence unveils a brand new single titled ‘The Glory’. Today, he announces also the follow-up to his critically acclaimed debut album ‘The Joy’ with Moth, set for an August 25th release date.
If you are a follower of our New Music playlist you might have heard a similair single from Prince Josh before. Back in April the songwriter and producer released ‘The Glory (Reprise)’. A brilliant homage to 90s electronic dance music with touches of, break beat. Now the talented artist is giving us another glimpse into the world of ‘The Glory’ by releasing its original version. On this one he delivers a warm, soothing and mellow track with a touch of trip-hop. It’s a beautiful hazy tune that is even giving us some Sade vibes. Both versions released so far are really quite brilliant and we can’t wait to hear them in the context of the album. About the new single he says:
‘The Glory’ is a collaboration between Lauren Armstrong and I. The original concept for the album was to make songs with the intention of resampling them to create new work. “The Glory” is the original version of The Glory (Reprise). Both tracks feature the same vocal, however one version is pitched and chopped and the other is the original phrasing. Instead of creating small sections of music to sample, I wanted to make full songs to create a library of sounds to work with. Sections of ‘The Glory’ appear throughout the album.”
‘The Glory‘ is out now on all platforms. ‘Moth’ arrives August 26th via Hand Drawn Dracula.
