One of our current favourite pop stars, Rose Gray is sharing her brand new single and music video ‘Ecstasy’. The new track is taken from the musician’s sophomore EP ‘Higher Than The Sun’ which features all previous singles ‘Prettier Than You’, ‘Promise Me‘ and ‘Sun Comes Up‘ and is out now.
The London born and bred musician has truly created her own soundscape on these last releases, creating an incredible mixture of pop, house and dance music. On her previous EP ‘Synchornisity’, one of our highlights was ‘Cupid‘, which still think deserves to be a massive number one everywhere. Luckily, Gray cooks up once again a smash hit with ‘Ecstasy’! About the new single she says:
“‘Ecstasy’ is a club banger moment for me. Much like most of my favourite 90’s dance records there’s just this explosion, pure ecstasy, pure anthemic ravey bliss. I played this at Printworks supporting Shygirl and just from how the crowd reacted, I knew I had to lead the EP with this as a single. I wrote it with frequent collaborator Alex Metric, in the studio I became obsessed with the lyric ‘Higher Than The Sun’, it was written in under an hour and felt just so right from the offset. It’s a club record. It undeniably makes you want to dance.”
