Brooklyn’s Vitesse X returns today with the announcement of her eagerly anticipated sophomore album, ‘This Infinite’. She’s also sharing the album’s opening track ‘Eternal’, which follows the previous shared singles ‘Realize‘ and ‘way i luv’.
On her new single Vitesse X creates once again an incredibly dreamy atmosphere but with a euphoric twist. Who would’ve thought that shoegaze and drum and bass / 90s house music would fit so well together? Well, Vitesse X does it again and creates another smash single and one of her best so far with ‘Eternal’. The song is lush, ethereal and blends nostalgia with modern electronics extremely well. Give the accompanying music video, directed by Chris Burden a watch below as well.
About ‘Eternal’, she mentions:
“Eternal is about the struggle to achieve a ‘sentimental life’ amidst so much greed, destruction and uncertainty in the world. It’s about feeling trapped in a rat race that you never signed up for, longing for life’s basic joys. It’s also about choosing to let go, despite every fiber of your being wanting to stay enraged and grief-stricken. Transcending the ego to achieve a sense of universal presence and unity.“
The upcoming record will also feature productions from Wild Nothing’s Jack Tatum and Pearly Drops. We can’t wait!
‘Eternal’ is out now on all platforms. ‘This Infinite‘ arrives October 4th via Music Website.
