Manchester quartet Porij announced in January that their debut album ‘Teething’ will arrive April 26th. Today, they’re sharing another track from the upcoming record, ‘Unpredictable’. Following the previous singles, ‘You Should Know Me’ and ‘My Only Love‘.
The new single is heavily inspired by UK garage and might be one of our favourite Porij tracks so far. They always know how to effortlessly melt club-inspired sounds with alternative pop. Fans of Kelela will surely love this one! Every track released so far showcase Porij’s unique talent and soundscape and we can’t wait to hear their full length debut!
About the single vocalist and keyboardist Egg wrote:
These lyrics came from a poem I wrote in November. It was fairly bleak, but in essence it was all about missing the simplicity of my early life but craving the complexity of the life that could come. In that period of time everything felt quite up and down and I really didn’t know how I was going to feel from one day to the next.
‘Unpredictable’ comes with a mesmerizing music video directed by Maxi MacLachlan which you can now watch below.
‘Unpredictable‘ is out now on all platforms. ‘Teething’ arrives April 26th via Play It Again Sam.
