One of our favourite upcoming duo’s, pecq, have shared a brand new single titled ‘closer’. The new track follows last year’s single ‘out loud’ and both tracks are taken from the London-based electronic duo’s upcoming EP.

Hannah ‘Jakes’ Jacobs and Nicholas (Nikò) O’Brien deliver once again a stellar new track with ‘closer’. Jakes stunning vocals are backed by an impressive production surrounded by warbling synths and danceable beats. It’s might be one of the duo’s most upbeat yet and we’re loving the intense production mixed with the ethereal vocals. It’s melancholic and at the same time an emotional banger. We’re loving everything this duo has released so far and they truly deserve to be heard by many. Be sure to give the music video directed by Zak Watson a watch below. as well

‘Closer is about distance. I’ve been away for most of this year touring. It was so freeing and inspiring to visit places I never thought I’d see, but after a few months I struggled being away from my friends and trying to finish songs with Nikò being in an opposite time zone. I was seeing all these new things but I couldn’t ever communicate them properly so they started to feel ike a weird dream. So Closer was originally about isolation but it was finished on the plane trip home so a different mood crept in – getting closer to your besties, coming home full of fresh things to share’.
