I’m genuinely so happy to have METTE back. Her new single ‘Anxious To Love You‘ feels a little more subtle than the uptempo rush of her recent releases, but it hits just as hard in its own quiet way.

Where tracks like ‘BET‘, ‘Van Gogh‘ and ‘Mama’s Eyes‘ came in bold and immediate, this one lets her personality shine through in a softer, more reflective space. It’s understated, emotional, and effortlessly charming, and the video only reinforces how natural she is on screen.

After the ‘METTENARRATIVE‘ EP, it really feels like METTE is continuing to grow into herself as an artist. Honestly, she still feels like a star in the making, and I’m amazed she hasn’t fully blown up yet. I really hope this is the start of more new music, because the rest of the world deserves to catch up on just how good she is.
