Rising newcomer Liza Dries is getting ready to share her debut album ‘YOR’ (Year of Romance) with the world soon. Following the previously shared single ‘Nightcore’, she has unveiled two more songs of the upcoming record ‘Underwater’ and ‘Sirens’. ‘YOR’ is set for release in March via Intercept Records.

On her new single Liza Dries dives deep into self-reflection, blending melancholic melodies with dreamy guitars, creating a beautiful and lush soundscape. ‘Underwater’ offers a hypnotic and tender exploration of loss, growth and the bittersweet echoes of past self. About the new single Liza shares:

‘“Underwater” has been my favorite song to play live, as it has often brought me to tears on stage, somehow because it feels both vulnerable and empowering. It feels silly to sing out loud that you can make flowers grow faster, but at times where you don’t feel that way at all, it creates a strange distance between what you’re expressing and what you actually feel—a kind of bittersweet echo of a past self. I like to allow my songs to have a dramatic tendency with a wink.”
