Jack Tatum aka Wild Nothing makes his long-awaited return announcing a brand new album titled ‘Hold’. Together with the announcement he also unveils the record’s infectious first single ‘Headlights On’ which features backing vocals from Hatchie. The new record is the first new music in five years from Wild Nothing, following 2018’s ‘Indigo’.
The new album seems to be a fresh new direction and will be the first-self produced album from Wild Nothing since 2010’s debut ‘Gemini’. New single ‘Headlights On’ is an exciting return and quite a different sound for Wild Nothing. Offering a nostalgic 90s-inspired track that together with Hatchie’s contribution is an infectious indie pop track. We are loving this upbeat sound and can’t wait to hear more. About the new single he says:
“This track was incredibly cathartic for me. It’s a song about your relationship reaching its most brittle moment and still trying to find even the smallest open window that can lead you back to that person… Musically I was drawn towards something that felt very body centric and could help get me out of my own repetitive thought patterns. It’s a propulsive and hopeful track that’s meant to act as a release valve, but the somberness that inspired the song remains intact.”

‘Headlights On‘ is out now on all platforms. ‘Hold‘ arrives October 27th via Captured Tracks.
