Chicago-based alternative pop artist Softmax has shared her new single ‘Don’t Think About It‘, following on from January’s ‘No ID‘.

I’ve already made the comparisons before, but fans of Banks and Rosie Lowe really need to start listening to Softmax. ‘Don’t Think About It’ is co-produced with Samuel Hudgens and features a gorgeous string outro by Raven Bush that takes the track to another level entirely. The haunting music video by Victoria Harding encapsulates the vibe of the song perfectly as well.

I’m really loving everything she is releasing and both of these songs really scratch that nostalgic itch for me. She does the darker pop vibe so well and is such a talented artist that deserves to be heard by way more people out there.
