About 1,5 months ago New Zealand duo King Sweeties made their debut with their incredibly groovy first single “Let’s Just Stay In Bed“. The new collaborative project consists of Bic Runga (drums and production) and Cass Basil (Tiny Ruins) on vocals and bass. The ladies are now giving us another glimpse of their sound with the hypnotic new single “Lydia“. Both songs are taken from King Sweeties’ forthcoming “We Are The Bosses” EP.

While their first single was incredibly groovy and funky, new single “Lydia” leans more towards a psychedelic sound. Yet maintaining that infectious bass and shimmering synths. The dreamy song is a perfect continuation from their first single and we can’t wait to hear what else King Sweeties’ has in store for us!
