Bloc Party’s frontman Kele Okereke makes his solo return with new single ‘Hometown Edge’. It marks the musician’s first new solo music since 2023’s ‘The Waves Pt.2’ and is the lead single from his forthcoming album, set for release later this year.

Kele’s distinctive vocals shine against a glitchy electronic-leaning production which describes a journeys through London. It’s a gorgeous love letter to the city he grow up in and we can’t wait to hear more! About the new single he mentions:

“I realise London has been a constant source of inspiration for me as a songwriter. In my writing it’s always been there on the periphery, but it felt right doing something where my love for the city was front and centre. Over the years, life in the capital has shaped who I am and what I am, so it was nice to pay homage to that.”
