After catching our attention with the hypnotic ‘GUM’, Joalin returns with a new single called ‘Mis Sueños’, a tender, sun-drenched track that marks the second taste of her upcoming mixtape ‘CAMALEÓN‘, out 20 June via Because London Records.
New single ‘Mis Sueños’ leans into vulnerability and quiet reflection. It’s one of her most personal tracks to date, and you can feel it in her emotive delivery. However, the song has still an upbeat and uplifting feeling thanks to the production. The accompanying sunny music video is directed by Edgar Esteves & Luciana Baldovino and is filmed in her childhood hometown Playa del Carmen.
About the new single and music video she mentions:
“It’s imperfect and sentimental. And it’s me wanting to create something more meaningful with my music. My mother loves this song. Anytime she hears it, she cries.
I know most of the people watching the video will just think “oh this is México” but the bike shop we filmed in is the same I used to get my bike wheels fixed when I was 14, the streets I bike on are the same I used to go to school through and the Tailor shop was my family’s go to when I needed clothes for dance shows… it’s all super meaningful to me”.
With each release, Joalin keeps revealing more of her artistic voice and we’re becoming big fans. Her upcoming mixtape ‘CAMALEÓN’ is going to be something truly special. We can’t wait!
‘Mis Sueños‘ is out now on all platforms. ‘CAMALEÓN’ is set for release on June 20th.
