New York-based duo Couch Prints have released their long-awaited second album Pitbull 2, and it’s everything we hoped for. Rooted in the best of late-90s and Y2K alt-pop, the record hits that nostalgic sweet spot, but always with a modern, emotionally resonant electronic twist that feels totally their own.

Across ten tracks, the album explores the blurred line between adolescence and adulthood, between soft club melancholia and headphone pop. One of the standout moments is the closing track ‘Laughter’, a gentle, lo-fi indie pop gem about longing and vulnerability. Special mention goes to the title track ‘Pitbull 2’, which comes with a video directed by Brandon Tong and perfectly captures Couch Prints’ sound.

We’ve been following Couch Prints since their early releases, and it’s such a joy to see them continue pushing their sound in new directions while staying true to what makes them so uniquely compelling.
