About the new single she wrote on Instagram:

From the very beginning this song has felt as if it’s always been there and all we had to do was uncover it. Back in 2021 @caseymq played me this gorgeous synth part that I instantly connected with. We sat down and wrote Redbrick in about 20 minutes with all the words even! We sent it to @countbaldor to see what ideas came to him and he added these incredible flute lines and vocal echos and so many details that we so perfect and fundamental ! What a joy to make this song so grateful to the collaborators.

This song has had a really special place in my heart. I’ve so often in life felt an internal dissatisfaction, frustration and anger that I wanted to delicately reveal in words and melody… feels so bold and icky almost! I asked Casey while we were writing, is it so cringe to say the lyrics ‘mommy and daddy I think I’m in trouble’ and he (probably) said yes but do it anyway.
