LA trio Automatic have announced their third album ‘Is It Now?’, due September 26 via Stones Throw. Following last month’s title track, they now return with second single ‘Mercury’.

The new single is a hazy, slow-burning synth-pop track that leans into the band’s softer, more introspective side. Produced by Loren Humphrey (Arctic Monkeys, Cameron Winter), the upcoming record is the follow-up to 2022’s ‘Excess’ and promises a shift toward what the band calls “deviant pop”. It’s a gorgeous track and we’re already counting down to the full album.

Mercury‘ is out now on all platforms. ‘Is It Now?‘ arrives September 26 via Stones Throw.
