Norwegian artist and producer Jouska has announced her upcoming album ‘How Did I Wind Up Here?’, due October 17 via Koke Plate. Following last month’s hazy ‘Flower Moon’, she now shares ‘Pierced.’.

Built on misty textures, shoegaze guitar effects and a fragile vocal delivery, ‘Pierced.’ explores the uncomfortable tension of being seen. “Part of me wants to be seen and heard; another part just wants to disappear” Jouska explains. It’s a track shaped by vulnerability, but wrapped in a nostalgic 90s alternative pop soundscape that we absolutely love. Think early Portishead with a touch of Beach House shimmer.

We’re really enjoying this evolution of Jouska and if ‘Pierced.’ is anything to go by, ‘How Did I Wind Up Here?’ is shaping up to be something special.
