Danish-Faroese artist Brimheim returns with an infectious new single titled ‘Literally Everything’. Last year the talented artist released her debut album ‘can’t hate myself into a different shape’. In the meantime she has signed with Tambourhinoceros and is working on a follow-up record.
New single ‘Literally Everything’ marks a brand new phase in the musician’s sound, unveiling a vibrant pop song that fuses euphoric melodies with her introspective songwriting. The autobiographical song sees Brimheim referencing her own experiences at the beginning of her career. Her dark trademark vocals shine against a dreamy production that comes to life in the uplifting chorus. We are loving this new sound and can’t wait to hear what else Brimheim has in store for us! Be sure to give the haunting music video directed by Heiðrikur á Heygum a watch below.
About the new single she says:
“Throughout my life, I’ve behaved in a lot of self destructive ways, attempting to fill this deep, barren void inside of me with everything from drugs to self-harm. But more than anything else, I’ve had to reckon with an unquenchable desire for other people’s approval and adoration, both as a human being and as an artist. That’s what ‘Literally Everything’ is about – the overwhelming impulse to sacrifice everything, including my self respect, in exchange for a moment of admiration.”
‘Literally Everything‘ is out now on all platforms via Tambourhinoceros.
