Norwegian artist Susanne Sundfør returns with the announcement of her sixth album titled ‘blómi’, which means “to bloom” in Norse. Together with the news she also unveiled not one, but two brand new singles ‘alyosha’ and ‘leikara ljóð’. Besides her brilliant collaborations on Röyksopp’s new album, this marks her first new music since 2020’s ‘Self Portrait’ soundtrack.

Both new offerings from Susanne showcase her wide range when it comes to creating music, always offering us something unique with every release. ‘alyosha’ might be the more instant of the two new tracks released, it’s a stunning ballad that showcases Susanne Sundfør immensely beautiful and impressive vocals. The second song is a more playful track with a touch of gospel and filled with hand-clapping and infectious layered harmonies. We truly can’t wait to hear both these songs in the context of an album!

About the new album she says:

“I want this album to be an antidote to the darkness that dominates our culture today, I want to show that there’s another way to see reality, if one dares to take the leap of hoping for a more beautiful world.”

blómi‘ arrives April 28th via Bella Union/Warner.
